I am proud to announce our new family member BB (Baby Barbara). She is a pure breed Maine Coon female that was born 2008-11-10. She is a Black/Brown tabby with white belly and paws.

We drove 5 hours to get her and 5 hours back. She liked the car. She was looking out the windows and she even was sitting up on the dashboard looking at cars that we passed on the highway. When she became sleepy she slept on KJ’s and mine lap. She also helped holding the steering wheel once..

She has the best personality. Does not want to be left alone. For those who know Maine Coons, they have a distinctive miau and her purr is just the cutest purr.

We’ll try to keep you guys updated with information when things happen, but there is just a lot to think about right now.

So, the whole Christmas celebration is finished. It was really different this year. Not only for me but Katrina also. I have never celebrated christmas in US. It was really different with NO snow and warm weather. However I had a nice time together with KJ’s family. They are super!

No one really felt it was a normal christmas and KJ is experiencing everything different also. All the things that has been going on in the family probably is affecting everyone.

I was hoping to post some pictures but i did not get the chance to download them from the camera yet. I will post them on a later occation.

So, christmas eve and christmas day was celebrated in Concord at Ning nings house. Christmas eve was a small gathering with Me, KJ, Ning ning, Lee and Dennis. Christmas day on the other hand was a big collection of people. Me, KJ, Ning ning, Lee, Dennis, David, Emily, Christy, Bridget, Shane and his girlfriend, Dustin and his girlfriend, and the kids from both sides. All in all probably around 20 people. It was nice with a lot of gifts. Food was great!

I really wish i could post he pictures.. 

New years will be spent in San Diego together with Papa Patrick. I will give you an update on how that was.

So, it turned out well in the end. Apparently some banks are not to bright.. Or should i say some persons are not that smart.

After talking to my personal representative by phone, he said that sometimes people don’t want to help, and that he is surprised by the way the banker at Swedbank in Jakobsberg treated me. He said that it was wrong and that he will talk to that bankers supervisor. I however still needed help.. Or should I say that WE needed help..

To make a long story short; I contacted Swedbank in Solna (where we currently live) and asked to get a personal meeting with a banker that will be my contact in the future since i want to change bank “home office”. I quickly got a meeting booked. During that meeting they transferred my account to the Solna office and helped me out with all my questions. There were no problems in applying for a ID card for Katrina since I now had moved my account to their office. Apparently Swedbank Solna wanted my business while Swedbank Jakobsberg did not.

I am now a customer of Swedbank Solna. KJ is too. Her ID card will be ready for pickup within 2 weeks. It was a pleasure to talk to competent and customer oriented bankers.

Time to visit skansen..

We had a grat time with all the animals.. The Lemus were really cute.. I had a lot of lemus climbing me when we entered.. They were really interested in me. i am posting some pictures of us and the lemus and also some other animals. There were a squirrel that had loads of personality.. Jumping around and even climbed people..

Now, isn’t it strange..

Today we went to the tax office to get a “personbevis” to be able to go to the bank and get a Swedish ID card for KJ. We also want to open a Swedish bank account.

Well at the bank “Swedbank”, they tell me that it is not possible to get a account unless she has a Swedish ID, and she cant get a Swedish ID since they don’t know her.. We were told that we may get all of this done if i go to my bank office where i first opened my accounts. So strange that even after having a Swedish citizenship, having all the necessary papers from the tax office; we cant get all stuff we need. How is a person going to get into the circle if there is no entrance?

We are going to “my home bank” to see if we can arrange anything there later today.. sigh.. :S

So, Back from the bank in Jakobsberg. Conclusion: the system is retarded. You cant get a Swedish ID unless you have a Swedish ID to identify yourself with.. Ever heard of Catch-22?

Incredible! I had the bank for over 10 years.. And they cant help me with this.. When i asked if i should change bank to get help, the bank representative told me that maybe i should.. WHAT? Who says something like that?

Swedbank in Jakobsberg/Stockholm/Sweden does not deserve my business. I am changing bank today. Don’t even know why I stayed at that bank since i dont even live there anymore..
